New loom from @textilecentermn garage sale! Trying to get the hang of this antique @bekainc rigid heddle loom. Put enough warp on to try 3 small projects, this last one is a rya rug technique using repurposed yarn and fabrics. Messed up the warping a little bit so now I know what to do better next time 😉

Stream Through The Earth

Small wall hanging, 13x10in, made from repurposed fabrics collaged together to form an interpretation of the second photo, taken in north Iceland.

I have started making dorodango from soil and clay, and I have found it to be deeply grounding, forcing my mind to slow down and focus on the task at hand. I don't know if I will do anything with them, but the materials are free, the process is meditative, and it is helping me be more mindful when I go for walks as well, as it gives me more to notice around me, observing different soil qualities and characteristics

Repurposed fabrics include upholstery scraps, neck ties, tablecloths and scarves.
